William possesses 40 years of industry experience, 24+ years at Medtronic, a BS in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, a MS of Information Systems, and a Ph.D., emphasizing Technology Integration.

William is the emeritus chair of Medtronic’s Technical Fellows organization, emeritus chair of the Tempe Technical Guild, chair of the ABLED ERG, a member of the Advanced Technology & Data Science, and is co-leading Medtronic’s eXtended Reality (XR) efforts focused on Virtual / Augment / Mixed Reality solutions (within manufacturing, healthcare environments, and in education), which aligns with his SME emphasis in vision/RF sensing and traceability (e.g., 1D, OCR, 2D, and RF) and process automation solutions. William’s professional career spans environments such as missile testing (i.e., at both Eastern and Pacific Missile Test Centers), drug interdiction (U.S. Customs), and rechargeable battery manufacturing (Energizer). However, as a 5th generation Floridian, William will always have salt air in his lungs and beach sand between his toes. That love of the sunshine and beach sand is also shared by his wife and their furry babies “Roo” and “Ivi” (Cavapoochons), where they are constantly heading for nearby bodies of water.
