AUGMENTED ΞNTERPRISE SUMMIT 2022 SPEAKER
Elliot Drake is an Extended Reality Specialist and Technical Product Manager for GlaxoSmithKline’s Analytical Platform and Platform Modernization team within global R&D. As the US lead for Wearable Smart Devices, Augmented IoT, and Metaverse technologies for the past 2 years- he collaborates in a matrix capacity with global teams in project areas such as Sterile Manufacturing, International Audits, On Demand SME Support, Technical Transfer, Scientific Imaging, Pharma Supply Chain, and Mixed Reality Training Supplementation.
While he and his peers are working to achieve a GMP/GxP approved method of using Holographic technology within Aseptic facilities to provide a paperless method of running complex scientific procedures- all while reducing human error and advancing sustainable business practices. Elliot also leads GSK’s standardization group for XR implementation, establishing the Enterprise Information Architecture roadmap, and setting the Product Value Strategy for this technology.
Leveraging his combined 5 years of experience working in Product Design and UX across AR/VR/XR environments, 3D Engines, and Mobile/Web projects; Elliot sits within GSK’s Digital products & UX Design guild, leveraging the combined skillsets of GSK’s talented design teams. By coordinating efforts across global business, engineering, creative, and scientific teams, he is in a unique position to advocate and develop solutions for user needs and pain points across the organization.
Elliot currently holds a Bachelor of Design in Digital Arts and Media Design from Penn State University, minors in Business Innovation and Audio Engineering, and a post-graduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania’s XSD program for Social Innovation Design.
