Gary is the Director of External Innovation focused on incubating new products, business models, and supply chain technologies, with a focus on external partnership engagement. He supports various cross functional teams including Manufacturing, Logistics, R&D, Packaging, and Sustainability. Gary’s key role is in identification of partners, primarily startups, and the evaluation of new innovative technologies to solve specific business and operational challenges.

Gary initiated and continues to provide overall management for Colgate in a multi-company sustainability startup accelerator, 100+, focused on the circular economy, packaging, raw materials, water and energy. The accelerator won the global sustainability partnership award in 2022. He is also directly involved in other external incubators and accelerators which included an extended assignment immersed in the Silicon Valley ecosystem.

As a member of the Global Engineering team Gary has identified and progressed a number of IOT and Factory of the Future initiatives. These digital technologies include the use of 3D printing, Augmented Reality, wearables, machine learning and predictive analytics. Prior roles in Colgate include: Process Development Engineer, US company Technical manager, Supply Chain Strategy and Oral Pharma global operations. Gary was integral in forming a Project Management Office (PMO) team at Colgate. Prior to Colgate, work assignments included Process Engineer at E.I. Dupont, Uranium fuel technology.

During his tenure at Colgate, Gary has received a number of awards including two Annual Corporate awards and two global You Can Make a Difference awards.
