Rael is an interactive thinker, passionate about advanced visualization, virtual, augmented, and mixed reality (VR\AR\MR) tech, and graphical user interfaces (GUIs). Working in the multimedia industry for over 20 years, he has expertise in and exposure to current trends and developments in advanced visualization and other emerging technologies. He uses AR/VR to communicate through different disciplines with rich data while creating repeatable foundations for digital delivery.

Rael’s job is to manage advanced visualization technologies and their strategic development as part of our Digital Technology & Innovation team. He works with design groups all over the world—providing innovative project solutions and leveraging his media and production experience to support their projects.

For a major railroad initiative, Rael and his team developed a real-world scale model workflow that could be modified in real time and viewed through an Oculus virtual reality headset to simulate the proposed transit experience. During a job with Dallas Water Utilities, the team used HoloLens head-mounted displays (HMDs) to create a mixed-reality model—where clients could see the proposed design overlaid on their existing facility, while they walked through it.

If Rael isn’t working on old classic cars and motorcycles, he’s probably spending time with his family or traveling.
