Sean McCoy


Over the past two years at CBT Sean has served as a Solutions Manager focusing on utilizing, understanding and adding to CBT’s partner network of IIoT/IoT focused companies that then deploy the best combinations of their hardware and software services to solve customer problems. These solutions involve mostly working with connected worker, computer vision and worker safety solutions. He works intimately with sales to keep them up to date as well as with engineering to ensure customer success.

Sean spent almost 20 years in oil & gas working 9 of those years with Schlumberger/SLB as a Manufacturing Engineer focusing on nuclear logging sources and all supporting equipment. He spent the other years in sales, marketing, and business development for various companies whose customers included large OFS companies like SLB, Halliburton, Baker Hughes & Weatherford. From 2017-2020 he started his own company, a for-profit social enterprise, that utilized AI to document consumer sales transactions to create charitable donations through a mobile application he designed and managed from concept to reality. He is also a veteran of the US Navy serving from 1992 to 1998.
He is married with three children and when not spending time with them is an avid pickleball player, mountain biker, and is a professional podcaster for the Oil & Gas Global Network. He graduated with a BSIS from the University of Houston-Downtown in 2004. Is currently earning his Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University.
