Tommy Kopec is a Senior Manager for Digital Medical Education at Zimmer Biomet. He leads development on Virtual Reality modules for the safe and effective use of Zimmer Biomet products, prepares surgeons and healthcare providers (HCPs) on the use of Mixed Reality in the operating room for surgeon training and education, as well as managing the online education platform for HCPs. Previously, Tommy was a tenured Associate Professor of Kinesiology before joining Zimmer Biomet in 2022. He also completed his PhD in Human Performance in 2016 from The University of Alabama. Before returning to school for his terminal degree, Tommy worked as a Certified Athletic Trainer in collegiate sports, as well as the secondary school level. Tommy currently lives just outside of Washington DC.
