Case Study – Immersive Design Reviews With Spatial Computing (RTX)

For more than a decade, Raytheon has practiced Immersive Design Reviews (IDR) for engineering and manufacturing, managing a continued evolution of deployed technology over the years. In each iteration of this capability we’ve examined how we might continue to improve upon the cost and schedule benefits IDRs have brought to our programs.

Last year we embarked on the latest iteration of an internally-developed, immersive design review tool for both products and physical spaces. We chose the Apple Vision Pro as the platform for this experience and worked with one of our program teams to build out a simple immersive design review tool for an automated factory cell. Taking lessons learned from this experience we developed a generic simulation to share with programs, customers, and others including Augmented Enterprise Summit attendees.
