Michal Wojtak

Mortenson

Michal Wojtak has more than 18 years of experience in the architectural and construction industries. Originally from Poland, Michal earned his master's degree in architecture from the Silesian Institute of Technology, and he began working as an architect in 1997. In 2003 Michal moved to Chicago where he worked for a high-end residential architect primarily focused on implementing Building Information Modeling (BIM) Solutions. In 2005 Michal joined the Chicago office of Mortenson Construction in the role of integrated construction coordinator. In his current role as integrated construction manager in the Mortenson Construction Sports Group, Michal is one of the leaders in the development of new processes for fostering collaboration in virtual design and construction (VDC), and he has led the VDC/BIM efforts on several high-profile projects for Mortenson, including the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri; Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, Illinois; Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska; and the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome in Minneapolis, Minnesota, among others.
