Mondelēz International is exploring how emerging technologies can help accelerate product and packaging development, tackling one of the industry’s most stubborn bottlenecks: early packaging prototyping. In this case study, I’ll share “Quick Pack”, a mobile AR experience built in Zappar’s Mattercraft tool that lets packaging teams choose a format, resize it in real time, and change colour, texture, and branding before anything is physically made.
The session will cover how low-code 3D tools can move XR from innovation experiment to practical R&D workflow, helping teams reduce handmade prototype dependency, accelerate decisions, and put packaging concepts in stakeholders’ hands faster across global consumer goods teams without specialist 3D skills. I’ll also touch on how these same AR tools are opening up new possibilities for consumer research, allowing teams to test and validate concepts with consumers earlier in the development cycle.
