Preston Bosarge serves as a Project Manager for Ingalls Shipbuilding, where he designed, implemented and currently oversees the largest industrial AR/VR welding lab in the nation. With more than 20 years of experience in workforce development and education, he has worked as a Career and Technical Education instructor at a local high school, led trade-specific training programs for both new hires and incumbent employees, and directed an award-winning safety training program.
Preston leads a team of three AR/VR subject matter expert instructors who guide the “green labor” transition from virtual training to full weld certification in the pipe welding, structural welding and shipfitting trades. He and his team are pioneering the large-scale integration of AR/VR technologies into previously uncharted areas of industrial training.
He holds degrees from Louisiana State University and The University of Southern Mississippi. Preston resides on the Mississippi Gulf Coast with his wife and daughter and enjoys fishing and other outdoor activities in his free time.
