(Panel) Preparing for AI, XR, and Digital Twins: A Roadmap for Successful Integration

Atrium Ballroom A

“How do we actually get started, and what does it require from our data, systems, and teams?” In this session, enterprise adopters break down how to turn AI, XR, and digital twin concepts into pilot projects that produce compelling, measurable results. Panelists will share practical guidance on identifying high-impact use cases, assessing data pipelines and content availability, integrating with existing IT systems, and more. Key topics include: Use case identification : Mapping business problems to AI/XR/digital twin capabilities; validating with end users, available data, and expected ROI Data and systems readiness : Assessing data quality, existing content, and interoperability with ERP, PLM, IoT platforms, and other enterprise systems Technical challenges and requirements : Fidelity/photorealisim, latency, connectivity, needed infrastructure to improve end-user experience, security, etc.  Platforms and hardware selection : Comparing vendors based on maturity, features, integration complexity, and lifecycle support Stakeholder alignment : Engaging IT, engineering, operations, finance, legal, and safety teams; building a business case for leadership Pilot design : Defining success metrics (KPIs), implementing data capture, and setting realistic budgets and timelines Common pitfalls : Preventing stalled pilots by planning for integration, ownership, and change management from the outset
